Himachal Ministers Get Portfolios, CM kept Finance and Home

After taking the oath on 27th December, Himachal Pradesh Cabinet ministers today got their portfolios. Total of 11 ministers along with Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur took the oath on Wednesday. At that time portfolios were not allocated to anyone.

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has kept Finance, Home. General Administration, Planning, Personal and all other departments that were not allotted to any minister.

Mahender Singh was given Irrigation and Public Health, Horticulture and Sainik Welfare while Education Department along with  the departments of Parliamentary Affairs, and Law and Legal Remembrancer was assigned to Suresh Bhardwaj.

Kishan Kapoor got the Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs departments along with Election.

Anil Sharma got the Multipurpose Projects and Power  and non-conventional energy sources.

Only woman face of the Cabinet, Surveen Chaudhary was given the departments of Urban Development, Town & Country Planning and Housing.

MLA from Lahaul Spiti Ram Lal Markanda got Agriculture, Tribal Development and Information and Technology.

First time Minister Vipin Singh Parmar got the Health and Family Welfare, Science and Technology and Medical Education and Ayurveda.

Virender Kanwar got Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Departments.

Vikram Singh was assigned the departments of Industries, Labour and Employment, Technical Education, and Vocational and Industrial Training.

Govind Singh Thakur will take the charge of the departments of Forest, Transport, Youth Services and Sports.

Rajiv Saizal has been assigned the departments of Social Justice and Empowerment and Cooperation.

BJP has also announced the name of Rajiv Bindal as the Assembly Speaker.
