Delhi to Leh, HRTC’s Longest Bus Route, Detailed Information

Covering 1072 kms, 7 states and UTs and 5 mountain passes in 35 hours, Delhi-Manali-Leh bus route is the longest and toughest bus route of HRTC. HRTC’s bus service on this 1072 kms-long highway- starting from the warm plains of Delhi & passing through freezing cold of 17,000 ft high mountain passes before reaching its destination at Leh after a daunting 35 hours road trip, resumed in May this year.

The bus starts from Kashmere Gate ISBT of New Delhi. The bus provides one of the cheapest transportation from Delhi to Leh. Though the journey is bit longer and tougher but the adventurous and wonderful at the same time.  And off course, you can trust the pilots of Himalayas, the HRTC drivers for the safety of your journey.

This bus service is suitable for the residents of Lahaul and Leh as well as the budget travellers. The bus runs non stop between Delhi and Keylong and halts at Keylong for a night in both way’s journey. Additionally, the bus also stops at major mountain passes for 5-10 minutes.

Halts: The bus takes overnight halts at Keylong both sides, which is not covered in the fare. However cheap accommodation is available near the bus stand itself.
